“Porsche Consulting taught us how to develop ourselves further without outside help”
Klaus Fischer, the owner and CEO of the Fischer Group based in the Black Forest, is one of the very first clients of Porsche Consulting. His iconic company, which developed the wall plug for masonry, was struggling with a lack of revenue around the turn of the millennium. So Fischer brought the experts from Porsche Consulting on board. After only two years of intensive joint efforts, the turnaround was successful. Looking back, Fischer is convinced that the deep-seated changes were only possible because the company was undergoing a crisis. “The bigger the problems, the greater the impetus and willingness for change.”
Together with the company’s employees, a culture of continuous improvement was established. “In addition to the methods that we learned from Porsche Consulting, the most important insight was that it’s key to use all five senses, the expertise, and the experience of our personnel in the change process,” says Fischer. “Thanks to the Porsche consultants, our people are now in a position to identify and solve problems on their own and to improve processes.” Today, the Fischer Group no longer produces only fixing systems, automotive interior solutions, and construction toys – it has also launched its own process consulting service.
