Sustainable Aviation | Customer-centric regional aviation
Are there new opportunities possible for regional aviation, considering it is constantly being evaluated as regards its sustainability and profitability? How do alternative forms of propulsion and new aircraft economics affect customers seeking regional connections?
Many city pairs are not well connected by current train or road connections and flying often involves detours via distant airports. Regional airports are underutilized and lack important connections because the economics with today’s planes do not work out. The current developments in sustainable propulsion technologies and announcements by OEMs offer new opportunities for regional aviation.
In our Virtual Roundtable, we will discuss what customer-centric regional aviation could look like and explore the technology innovations that accompany the move towards more convenient and faster travel between origin and destination. This would avoid congested hubs and imperfect ground connections to enable near-zero emission travel.
Together with the following panelists, we will shed light from different angles on the opportunities and challenges, infrastructures, investors, and innovators in the industry:
- Meiltje de Groot | CEO | Groningen Airport Eelde
- Robert Küller | Co-Founder | Rockton investing in sustainable aviation, Stockholm, Sweden
- Tomislav Lang | Founder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board | Flyv, Munich, Germany
- Marc Landgraf | Partner | Porsche Consulting
