Porsche Consulting celebrates 20th anniversary
Stuttgart. Porsche Consulting GmbH, a management consulting company based in Bietigheim-Bissingen, has been in existence for 20 years now. Founded in 1994 by a team of four, this wholly-owned subsidiary of Stuttgart-based Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG has become one of the leaders in this field in Germany. Porsche Consulting now employs more than 370 people – not only at its headquarters in Bietigheim-Bissingen but also at its other sites in Hamburg (Germany), Milan (Italy), São Paulo (Brazil), Atlanta (USA), and Shanghai (China). “No one could have imagined how successful Porsche Consulting would become – even though there was high demand for our services right from the start,” says CEO Eberhard Weiblen. He joined the company in 1995 as the fifth member of the team. “We are proud that we are now helping more than 200 clients a year outperform the competition with operational excellence, thanks to tried and true methods from Porsche.”
Matthias Müller, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG, is both a client of Porsche Consulting and a member of its Supervisory Board. “The consultants put proven strategies promptly into practice and produce measureable results,” he says. “And they possess the special skill of being able to fill people with enthusiasm for change. That’s why we at the sports car company are pleased to use the consulting services of our subsidiary.” Porsche Consulting does thirty percent of its projects within the Porsche Group, and 70 percent for external clients from the aviation and aeronautics, mechanical engineering, the consumer goods industry and retail, con-struction, and service industries. Its clients include Airbus, British Airways, DMG Mori, illycaffè, Meyer Werft, and SAP.
Porsche Consulting expects to continue growing in the future. “We have major pro-jects with our existing clients – such as optimizing indirect areas like administrative functions,” says Weiblen. “The most successful companies have to be well structured throughout every part of their organization. And of course we want to help new clients find their ideal lines as well.”
