In the latest issue of the business magazine Brand eins, Dr. Wolfgang Freibichler, Partner at Porsche Consulting, discusses how the consulting industry is evolving in response to new AI technologies and shifting client expectations.

Companies facing economically challenging times increasingly look to their consulting partners for stability and guidance. “In critical transformation phases, many clients rely more heavily on senior expertise – while young talents remain essential for project work and innovation,” says Freibichler. Regarding the impact of AI, Freibichler cautions against underestimating traditional consulting capabilities. While automated tools can generate analyses and benchmarks more quickly, it remains the task of experienced consultants to review and interpret the results. “You need people you can trust – and who can judge what is truly reliable,” Freibichler adds.
