Temperatures just over freezing, rain by the bucketful. Deutsche Bahn uses each night for the maintenance of its rail network. A camera team from Porsche Consulting recorded them in action: on the West Rhine Railway between Koblenz and Bonn, the moving parts of a switch – the tongue rails in this case – were replaced in record time. Together with the management consultancy Porsche Consulting, Deutsche Bahn redesigned the procedures of its track construction team.
