Josef Nierling is a mechanical engineer and has a doctorate in industrial engineering. He is of German-Italian origin and began his career in 1997 at the Fraunhofer Institute in Berlin. Before joining Porsche Consulting in 2006, he supported the launch of the common rail product at Bosch and started as financial controller for two main business units in Italy.
